Privacy
The short version: PLAYPILE has no accounts, no logins and no database. Your scores are saved in your own browser and never leave your machine.
What is stored, and where
Every game keeps its leaderboard and your three-letter name in your browser's own local storage. That is a per-site scratchpad on your computer. It is not sent anywhere, we cannot read it, and clearing your browsing data deletes it. It is why your scores do not follow you to another browser or another device.
There is no sign-up, so we hold no email address, no name and no password.
Advertising
PLAYPILE carries advertising, and that is the one part of the site that involves somebody else. When adverts are switched on they are served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies or read a device identifier to measure how many people saw an advert and to choose which one to show. That is Google's processing, under Google's own privacy terms, and you can turn personalised advertising off for your Google account at myadcenter.google.com.
We do not pass anything to advertisers ourselves, because we do not have anything to pass.
Analytics
None. There is no analytics script on this site.
Children
PLAYPILE is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
