What PLAYPILE is

PLAYPILE is a small games site with one rule: every game on it was made for it. There are no embeds from other portals and no copies of games you have played elsewhere. Some are full projects built over weeks — a Formula 1 simulation with thirty-three circuits, a NASCAR game on twenty ovals, a first-person shooter up a thirty-one storey tower, an N64-style dungeon crawler, a boxing game with ten opponents and a horror game played by torchlight. The rest are quick games written to be finished in a sitting, and the classics rebuilt with the details that make them feel right.

Everything runs in the browser. There is nothing to install and no account needed, and your scores, unlocks and saved progress stay on your own machine. Play counts towards a site-wide level, badges and a daily challenge, and a free profile keeps all of that together on your profile page. Each game has its own page with the controls, a written guide to how it plays, tips drawn from how the game actually works, and answers to the usual questions. The games are still being worked on — the updates page lists what has changed and when.

Every game on PLAYPILE

Action

  • BLADEBORN — A cube man with three claws on each hand. Slash where you aim, climb any wall with your claws, slam down from above and finish enemies with brutal takedowns. Desktop only: needs a mouse and keyboard.
  • BLADE DASH: CASTLE — BLADE DASH with a story: smash in through the windows of a fifteen-storey castle, dash-slash your way up floor by floor and beat the rival ninja on the roof to save the princess.
  • CRAZY CATTLE — A knitted-sheep battle royale on a quilt in the sky. Ram the flock off the edge while the quilt unravels, and be the last sheep standing.
  • GETAWAY FLOP — A wobbly 1930s cartoon heist race. Hop across the rooftops to the getaway car, grab popguns and cream pies, and knock the other crooks off.
  • MIRROR DUEL — One controller, two fighters. Your opponent copies every move you make, flipped. Win by making the same move hurt them more.
  • SUMO SLAM — Hold to charge, let go to dash. Slam the other blobs off a shrinking, tilting ring and be the last one standing.
  • LANTERNFALL — Carry the last lantern through a haunted forest. Anything that steps into your light burns. Last five minutes until dawn.
  • TWISTER.IO — Be a tornado in a toy town: suck up cones, then cars, then houses, and be the biggest storm when the clock runs out.
  • SNOWBALL ROYALE — A snowball fight at dusk: duck behind snow walls, lob over them, and roll a giant one to flatten everybody.
  • BLADE DASH — Tap to dash-slash. Every kill refills your dash, so the whole room can be one unbroken chain.
  • KICKBACK — A sawed-off with two shells in it, and the shells are your legs.
  • NIGHT SHIFT — Do the job, and do not get caught. They have to kill you to stop you.

Adventure

  • BLOCK WORLD — First-person voxel parkour in a painted sky. Jump, build your own blocks across gaps and reach the golden beacon in 12 courses, plus a sandbox.
  • SKY CLIMB — Climb a giant floating tower of junk into a hazy, dreamy sky and ring the bell at the top. Falling costs height, not lives.
  • DEEP DIVE — A ship is going down with people trapped inside. Swim into the wreck, hook them onto your air line and tow them out before anyone's air runs out.
  • TINY KNIGHT — Chop, mine and craft your way up from bare fists to the Shadowbane, then pay to build the bridge to the Shadow King's castle.
  • CHIBI CLASH — Hatch chibi monsters from eggs, then fight wild ones in real time with WASD and three abilities.
  • SPELLDELVE — A wizard, a spellbook and ten floors of dungeon. Read every spellbook you find and build a run that melts the Hollow Crown.
  • TINY HARBOR — Keep a tiny island: tie up the trading boats, light them in at night, and grow a leaky tent into a cottage.
  • DUNGEON QUEST — An N64 dungeon crawler: four levels, three classes, and a black dragon at the end.

Arcade

  • SLOPE RUSH — Roll a glowing ball down an endless synthwave slope. Steer round holes and red blocks while the speed keeps climbing.
  • TUNNEL DIVE — Dive down a spinning black-and-white op-art tunnel. Rotate the whole tunnel to thread the gaps as it gets faster and narrower.
  • BRIDGE RACE — Collect bricks in your colour, lay them as steps up a bridge and reach the golden top floor before three rivals. Bump them to knock their bricks loose.
  • HOLE FEAST — Steer a hole through a tilt-shift model city and swallow everything smaller than you, from cones to skyscrapers, before the clock runs out.
  • STICK SWING — Hold to hook the nearest star, let go to fly. Swing a folded-paper figure through 30 levels across five paper worlds.
  • FREEZE RUN — Run while giant Marigold sings with her back turned, and freeze the moment she turns round. Move while she watches and you pop into confetti.
  • SNAKE ARENA — A glowing snake brawl on a dark sea. Eat orbs to grow, cut off the other snakes so they crash into you, and climb from Plankton to Leviathan.
  • SUBWAY RUN — An endless three-lane run through a graffiti train yard. Jump, roll and switch lanes past trains, run along the roofs and grab spray-can power-ups.
  • MARBLE ROLL — Roll a glass cat's-eye marble along polished-stone sky courses. Dodge sweepers and pushers, cross narrow beams and reach the swirl portal in 15 courses.
  • BUBBLE TROUBLE — A bubble-gum blob bouncing through a candy city. Blow up to float, slam to smash, stick to walls and enemies.
  • ROOF RUN — Jump the gaps, slide under the neon signs and smash through glass towers as a sunset city speeds up beneath you.
  • FIREWORK FRENZY — Steer a firework rocket through a night city: fly the rings, light the fireworks and set off chain reactions before your fuel runs out.
  • HELIX DROP — Spin the candy tower, drop the ball through the gaps and stay off the red. Fall three rings in a row and you smash the next one.
  • AXE THROW — Tap to throw axes into a spinning log. Hit an axe that is already stuck and the run is over.
  • PRISM — Tap to hop a glowing ball up a neon tower, but you can only pass through the colour that matches it.
  • BEAT DASH — Tap to jump. A neon cube runs a course built on the beat, and one touch of a spike sends you back to the start.
  • STARLANE PINBALL — A full neon pinball table: lock two balls in the Black Hole for multiball, then hit the ramp for jackpots.
  • GRAZE — Hold to climb, let go to dive. Scrape past the walls to build your combo, then ghost straight through one.
  • STACK ATTACK — Catch the order on a wobbly bun, in the right order, before the tower falls over.
  • WRECKING BALL — One crane, one wrecking ball, 30 seconds: knock the whole block down.
  • SUSHI CONVEYOR — Grab the right plate off three speeding belts and get it to the right face before they storm out.
  • GRAPPLE GOBLIN — Hold to hook, let go to fling: one button, one goblin, and twenty caves full of gold.
  • PARRY — You only block, and every arrow, axe and fireball lands on the beat.
  • PENGUIN DASH — A penguin, a grey sea, and everything in it that eats penguins.
  • STACK — Drop each slab on the one below. What hangs over gets sliced off and falls.
  • DRIFTER — Rocks, a small ship, and bullets that cost the fuel you steer with.
  • CROSSING — It never ends, and the bottom of the screen is rising. How far did you get?

Driving

  • KART CLASH — Glossy toy-plastic kart battles. Grab ? boxes for rockets, gumball guns, mines and shockwaves, and knock out the most karts in two minutes.
  • MOTO STUNT — Side-view stunt bike in a comic-book style. Flip over jumps, dodge barrels and swinging hammers, and finish 12 levels fast for three stars.
  • DRIFT TOWER — One button, one zigzag road above the clouds. Hold to drift left, let go to drift right, and do not fall off.
  • EGGY ROAD — Drive a little truck over hand-painted watercolour hills with an egg rolling loose in the back. Go as far as you can before it cracks.
  • STUNT CITY — Drive a chrome car around a vaporwave stunt park. Flip, spin and barrel-roll off ramps and loops, clear eight challenges and upgrade your ride.
  • RUSH HOUR — Weave through traffic at 250 km/h down one 36 km road. Ten stages of hairpins, drifts and near misses against the clock.

  • NASCAR — Twenty ovals, forty cars, and a draft that decides it on the last lap.

Horror

  • EXPOSURE — The deck is pitch black. Your muzzle flash is the only light, and it freezes.

Puzzle

  • CUBE MERGE — A 2048 snake made of crystal number cubes. Eat cubes, fuse equal numbers and bite smaller snakes to reach 128, 256, 512 and beyond.
  • WORD BLITZ — Ninety seconds, sixteen letters. Drag through touching tiles to spell words, and the long ones score huge.
  • BLOCK ROYALE — The 8x8 block puzzle scored like a poker hand: clears earn Chips, streaks build Mult, and charms break the rules.

  • ONE TILE — Crack the safe, grab the gold and get out before the guard turns round.

  • STILLSHOT — Time moves only when you move. Step, aim and shoot your way through red crystal enemies in a stark white room, one frozen moment at a time.

  • SKY ACES — Arcade dogfights in a bright cartoon sky. Shoot down raiders, aces, bombers and armoured airships, then spend the money on faster planes.
