Terms of use

Short, and in plain words. By using PLAYPILE you agree to these terms.

What PLAYPILE is

PLAYPILE is a free website of browser games. Every game on it was made for this site. You do not need an account to play, and nothing on the site costs money.

Using the games

You may play the games as much as you like, link to them, and share screenshots and videos of yourself playing them, including on streams and in videos that earn you money. You may not copy the games or their code, art or music onto another website, sell them, or pass them off as your own.

Playing with other people

Some games can be played online with a friend using a room code (HOOPS and INKVALE). There is no chat. Only share a room code with people you know, and do not try to cheat, crash or disrupt another player's game. See the privacy page for what an online game shares between the two browsers.

Your saved progress

Scores and progress are kept in your own browser. They can be lost if you clear your browser data, use a private window or switch device. We do our best to keep saves working when a game is updated, but we cannot promise that an update will never reset one. Save codes and profiles, from the Sign in button, are there to help you keep a copy.

Advertising

PLAYPILE is paid for by advertising from Google AdSense. Adverts are never placed over a game while it is being played. You can choose whether adverts are personalised on the privacy settings page.

No guarantees

The games are provided as they are, for fun. We fix bugs when we find them, but we cannot promise that every game will work on every device or browser, or that the site will always be online. Games can be changed, improved or taken off the site; the updates page keeps a dated record of what changes. Take breaks, and see the note on flashing lights before playing if that affects you.

Other websites

Links to other websites, and the adverts, lead to places we do not run. Their own terms and privacy policies apply there.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page changes and its date changes with it. Using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
