How to play
PIZZA PANIC is an arcade delivery game seen from above. You ride a scooter through a busy city, pick up hot pizzas at the shop and throw them at the glowing doors of the people who ordered them, without ever stopping. Each shift lasts 80 seconds, and every delivery adds 5 seconds to the clock. Earn the cash target shown at the top before time runs out to move on to the next shift.
On a computer, drive with W A S D or the arrow keys. Hold Space for the handbrake to drift round corners and Shift to boost. Click anywhere to throw a pizza at that spot; the throw snaps onto a nearby order door, so you do not need perfect aim. E throws at the nearest order for you. P or Esc pauses and M mutes. On a phone, put your left thumb down anywhere on the left half to get a floating stick (the scooter heads the way you push), tap the right half of the screen to throw, and hold the DRIFT and BOOST buttons.
You carry three pizzas at a time. When the rack is empty, ride back past the PIZZA shop to load up, and the new orders appear as arrows at the screen edge with their distance. A throw that misses splats on the road and loses that order.
Tips and strategy
Deliver hot. Pizzas cool down from the moment you pick them up. A piping-hot pizza pays its full tip and a cold one only about a third, so plan a loop that reaches every door while the food is still steaming.
Keep the chain going. Deliveries, near misses and drifts all add to your combo, and every link adds 10% to what you earn, up to triple pay. The chain fades after five seconds of doing nothing, and a miss or a big crash breaks it.
Hug the traffic. Passing a car by a hair at speed is a NEAR MISS: a little cash, a combo link and a top-up for your boost. Holding a long drift pays too and also refills boost.
Throw from far away. A pizza thrown from near the end of your range is a LONG SHOT and pays one and a half times the tip, with a slow-motion moment to enjoy it.
Do not crash hard. A big crash knocks heat off every pizza you are carrying. Parks are grass shortcuts you can drive across, but grass slows you down and the trees are solid.
Take down the rats. From Shift 2, rival "RAT" scooters chase you and try to ram a pizza off your rack. They show a red ring and a "!" just before they charge. Hit them first while boosting, or simply going faster than they are, for a TAKEDOWN: bonus cash, a combo link, and the rival spins out and backs off.
What's in it
A eight-by-eight grid of city blocks with traffic that drives on the right, turns at junctions, brakes for you and honks when you bump it, plus parks with paths and trees. Shift targets rise every round, orders get further from the shop, and from Shift 2 up to four rivals join in.
Everything you earn goes into your bank, win or lose, and hitting the target adds a 25% bonus. Between shifts you spend it in the shop on five upgrades: Engine (top speed), Nitro tank (bigger, faster-filling boost), Thermal bag (pizzas cool slower), Bigger rack (one more pizza per run, up to six) and Pitching arm (longer throws and stronger aim help).
Questions
Do I need an account? No. Your bank, upgrades, current shift and best shift are saved in your browser.
Is it violent? No. You bump cars and scooters, and the worst that happens is a pizza splatting on the road.
What happens if I fail a shift? You keep the cash you made, can spend it in the shop and try the same shift again.
Does it flash? No. There is screen shake on crashes and deliveries, confetti and a short slow-motion on long shots, but no flashing lights.
